our story

Mobil Services celebrated its 45th year in 2024. In 1979 Mobil Striping and Sweeping Ltd. was purchased by John and Margaret Edgar with just a handful of equipment. In 2008 John and Marg were ready to retire and wanted their children to take over. Their son James had already been working full-time in the business since 1991 and at that point Tracy joined Mobil to run the business with James. In 2016 Tracy and James renamed the company to Mobil Services Inc., this was to create a more inclusive name as we do much more than just sweeping and striping. Now with almost 50 employees and 60 pieces of equipment Mobil Services has grown tremendously and continues to work hard to create and maintain a thriving family business.

Mobil Services’ 3 top values are Customer Focus, Safety and Communication. Everyone at Mobil works hard to live and breathe these values. When it comes to Customer Focus, we are continually striving to be the best we can be. We want to ensure that our customers are looked after, and that we exceed their requirements when we are on any site.

Our employees know that not only their Safety, but also that Public Safety is a top priority for us. Everyone has a family, and we want everyone to get back home to theirs the same way they were when they left home.

Lastly, but perhaps most important to everyone here, is Communication. This is something we are always looking to improve. Clear and concise Communication is a key element to top performance, and we strive daily to improve ours. Not only with our employees, but also with our customers!

We have become the go to company in southwestern Ontario for sweeping, line markings including playground games, dust control, and bulk water. We look forward to being able to serve you.
